Strengthen your Body and Mind with a Fitness Routine
Our Wellness Area Director, Paulina Mercader, gives us some tips and exercise routines to strengthen the body and mind and lead a healthier life.
Regular exercise not only benefits our physical condition, but also improves our mental and emotional balance and helps to stabilise our moods. It is very important to remember that although your physical state is important, so is your state of mind, and the two are closely linked.
During this season, approaching winter, we should be more disciplined and conscious of our health. We have to try to keep up a routine that allows us to avoid illnesses and depressive states of mind associated with this time of year.
If we do 30 to 45 minutes of physical activity a day, we can activate the immune system and prevent pathologies, as well as slow degenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s. One of the most important benefits of physical exercise is the ability to help balance and neutralise disease-causing substances. In other words, it acts like a stabilising drug on the central nervous system.
During the remaining months of 2019, we recommend you make sure to spend at least 5 hours a month in contact with nature. Nowadays, we spend ninety percent of our time locked in four-walled rooms at home or at work. You can make up for it by being “BIOPHILIC“: get back in touch with nature and take advantage of all its nourishing benefits .
