Healthy recipe: Steamed Sweet Potato with Apples
As we promised in our previous post about the Benefits of Sweet potatoes here it’s the recipe of this complete super food!
Sweet potato – 1 cut into small chunks
Crisp apple – ½ cut into small chunks
Kombu – 2 inch strip
Salt – A pinch
Nutmeg – A pinch
Spring water – ½ cup
Parsley – 1 tablespoon finely chopped
- Place the water, kombu and sweet potato into a pan.
- Bring to boil and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add the apple and nutmeg and continue cooking for another 5 minutes or until the sweet potato is soft.
- Mix gently and serve garnished with parsley.
