When summer arrives what we want the most is to relax and leave behind our work routine. Freeing your mind during holidays doesn’t mean you have to stop caring for yourself or following healthy habits for your body.

We have some advice so you can enjoy your holidays in the most healthy way possible.

REST. One of the the most important things is the holiday break. For it to be truly repairing, it must be a change from the routine. That is the change that turns “days off” into “vacation days”.

.Leave everything ready before going anywhere. It’s essential to not leave anything pending could distract your mind while you’re gone.

.Disconnect, plan a schedule to limit your use of electronic devices and follow it like you do anything else in your routine.

.Say no to multitasking and focus on just one task or activity at a time and enjoy it fully.

MOVE YOUR BODY without stress, plan a 30 to 45 minutes of your day in which you your whole body is active such as hiking, swimming or yoga.

.Train your mind, one of the habits that people forget the most and the most beneficial. Choose a book and read it on holidays, underline those unknown words and search for their meaning. If you are not a big fan of reading, you have other options such as sudoku, word search puzzles or boardgames.

FOOD is another important point. On holidays it is difficult to avoid the typical dishes of the place you are visiting. The key is to not consume more calories than your body needs, taking into account the physical activity that you will do during those days.

INVEST YOUR TIME IN A IN A SMART WAY. Dedicate time to yourself and the people you love the most, and enjoy the activities that you can’t normally do for lack of time. Focusing on those things will give you a greater satisfaction and happiness in the long term and it will charge you with energy for your return to the routine.

A healthy holiday nourishes you spiritually, mentally and physically.
