At the request of one of our regular readers, today we share one of the top recipes of SHAmadi Restaurant: seitan meatballs with mock tomato, i e, a delicious vegetarian meatballs recipe.
Tomato is not a vegetable too recommended in a healthy diet because it causes excess acidity in our body and is quite complex to digest, especially in certain people intolerant to tomato or those with kidney problems, because they are high in folic acid and can harm kidney function. Therefore, in our healthy eating we try not to use it practically and replace for other foods that are better for our body.
To make these meatballs we use seitan, a natural food preparation made from wheat (not suitable for coeliacs). Seitan is one of the best meat substitutes because it is high in vegetable protein and its meat-like texture.
